Students with Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degrees in civil engineering are eligible to enter the M.Sc. degree program. Students with engineering degrees in areas other than civil engineering may be required to complete deficiency/prerequisite undergraduate courses. As a minimum, the following deficiency/prerequisite courses or equivalent will be required:

Natural history (30 credits) that includes mathematics, statics, solid mechanics, dynamics,

Economics, and humanity (10 credits) that includes micro, and macro economics, management, and economics, business law, local, and regional development

Civil engineering core courses (55 credit) information technology, geology, material science, soil mechanics, earthworks, foundation, steel structures, concrete structures, wood, and brick structures, road, railroads, environmental sciences, introduction to water resources, hydraulics, water-wastewater treatment, geodesy

Infrastructure-engineering specialization (15 credit) elements of infrastructure design, road and railroad design, transportation design, environmental impact study

The student needs to have a minimum of 80 credits, out of the above listed courses. The missing courses have to be finished in parallel with the master courses, within two years of submission. The classes can be taken with the B.Sc classes or individually, as needed.

Students whose native language is not English are required to take a diagnostic test in English when they arrive at the University. Students with deficiencies are provided an opportunity for further study in reading, writing, and speaking English.
